Chelmarsh Sailing Club was established in 1965 when the South Staffordshire Waterworks Company acquired its new reservoir, covering an area of approximately 100 acres. The reservoir had been built to ensure an adequate supply of water for Wolverhampton and areas around Dudley in the West Midlands could be maintained but its owners had the foresight to consider the reservoir might also make a suitable venue for the sailing of dinghies. Founded in 1997, the Kenai Crewsers Rowing Club is the oldest rowing club in Alaska. We are located on the eastern side of the Kenai Peninsula in south-central Alaska. Rowing season runs from April through October with the primary row sites being Bear Lake in Seward, and Kenai Lake in Cooper Landing. An annual regatta is held on Bear Lake.
